Run an API contract, then test your change

Real FastAPI runs here as an async, in-process ASGI companion. This does not run Uvicorn, synchronous thread-pool handlers or PostgreSQL. Use the matching local download for those lessons.

Use synthetic examples. Your editor is saved only in this lab origin's browser storage. No account, course cookies, database or outside provider is supplied. Each operation runs in a fresh worker; Stop or Reset terminates it. Browser memory has no portable hard quota.

How to use this lab
  1. Run /health and expect 200 with {"status":"ok"}.
  2. The module 1 starter returns 501 for equipment. Implement its response, then run target checks. A wrong response fails.
  3. For module 2, test creation (POST /equipment, 201), read (200), an invalid quantity (422) and a missing id (404).
  4. Change the source and rerun to see the actual response. Every run explicitly starts and shuts down the app.
  5. Download your edited browser work to keep it. Later PostgreSQL/auth/provider/deployment work uses the local checkpoints.
Execution stops after ten seconds once the runtime is ready. Boot has a separate 30-second timeout. Source is limited to 64 KiB, request input to 16 KiB and output to 32 KiB. One operation runs at a time. This lab serves static files. Your Python executes in your browser.
